(HILLSBORO, OR) November 21, 2006 - Evergreen Engineering (Evergreen), a multi-discipline
engineering and construction services firm, will host a 4-hour Code Training Seminar on December 4,
2006 at the Wingate Inn in Albany, New York. Topics will include Occupancy Classification; Hazardous
Materials Management; HVAC & Exhaust; Control Areas; Fire Rated Separation; Means of Egress; and
many others.
The seminar will be taught by Samir Mokashi, Code Analyst and Principal at Evergreen Engineering. The
seminar will focus on the requirements of the current New York State Code for research laboratories and
semiconductor manufacturing facilities, and address existing facilities built under the previous edition of
the New York State Code. An acknowledged code expert, Mokashi has authored alternates and
variances. As past chair of the Code Committee of the local chapter of American Institute of Architects, he
continues to be active in city and state level code development. An excellent communicator and dynamic
presenter, his technical presentations and training seminars are well-attended by architects, engineers,
owners, facility managers, and building officials.
