POWER PLANT DESIGNERS AND PROJECT ENGINEERS (Eugene Office) –P.E.s and Designers – Must have a minimum 10 years steam power plant experience. Must have experience with boilers and boiler plant accessories, biomass combustion systems, emission control technologies, steam turbines, steam turbine accessories, condensers and cooling towers. AutoCAD design experience is required. We also need project engineers with ability to work directly with clients on their biomass power generation or CHP projects.

Our firm is currently seeking a full-time .
Position:
A full-time I&C and Power Electrical Engineer to team with or possibly lead our Controls Department in our Hillsboro, OR location.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate to excellent computer skills with MS Windows XP, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Access.
- Effective communication and impromptu problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a cost-effective, customer-focused, team-based environment.
- Understanding and skill in assessing a customer’s requirements and needs in the field.
- Business and client development a plus.
Job Description:
- Determine, select, and specify instrumentation and controls required to monitor, operate and control mechanical, process, and electrical systems.
- Revise existing and develop new P&ID's.
- Produce logic diagrams, control narratives and wiring diagrams.
- Produce equipment commissioning documents.
- Interpret and apply codes, job procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Interface with other design disciplines.
- Provide field assistance as required.
- Monitor and review on-site installation, start-up and operation of instrumentation and controls.
- Perform inspections of equipment as required.
- Specify and evaluate distributed control systems.
- Experience with isolated primary (Medium voltage) normal power distribution systems, primary and secondary (Low voltage) normal power distribution systems, emergency power distribution systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and associated power distribution systems with emphasis on facility redundancy and reliability
Additional Qualifications:
GE Cimplicity, Allen-Bradley, PLC Control, Sequence of Operations, Power Monitoring & Systems Integration
Systems level experience:
- Bulk Chemical Delivery Systems
- Toxic Gas Monitoring
- HVAC Systems
- Particle Monitoring and Ionization Systems
Education and Registration:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Registration in Oregon
