Food Processing

Evergreen has recently started working with food processing companies.

Evergreen provided considerable planning, layouts, code analysis, and cost estimation support to a company that manufactures herbal extracts, directed toward expansion into an existing 90,000 sf plant. This included creative modifications to accommodate occupancy issues for use of several thousand gallons of flammable solvent (ethanol) in a facility that was not designed for that purpose.

For a food processor in southern Oregon, Evergreen designed a modification and expansion of a chiller on an aseptic packaging line. This project required an understanding of FDA/USDA requirements for food contact components, materials, and CIP. The project was very successful and the company has expressed an intention of using Evergreen in the future.
