Can you benefit from co-firing?
Does your company own power plants that use coal-fired boilers? If so, you're burning precious, nonrenewable resources. Along the way you're releasing harmful gases into the atmosphere. And you already know that the government is about to crack down on your sector with tougher regulations.
If that describes your company, then Evergreen Engineering has your co-firing solution.
How you will benefit from co-firing
When we install co-firing systems in your power plants you will:
- Reduce your coal consumption by up to 20%
- Produce fewer noxious fumes
- Meet changing government regulations for renewable power
- Operate more efficiently
- And the best part is — you'll enjoy all of these benefits without building new facilities.
How we can help you
Evergreen Engineering specializes in designing and implementing co-firing systems. We don't just deliver your new system and run away. We handle every aspect of the project, including:
- Deciding what biomass fuels are feasible for your location
- Finding the best technology and plan for you
- Designing the system from the ground up
- Professionally installing the system
- Training you and your staff to make sure you thoroughly understand how to use it
Our experience and customer retention rates speak for themselves. We've been working with biomass fuel for over 25 years. And 90% of our business is repeat. Our focus? Building relationships by making your needs our priority.

How it works
Co-firing is basically burning two different materials at the same time in the same furnace. So rather than burning 100% coal, co-firing allows you to burn a significant volume of 20% biomass along with the 80% coal in your furnaces simultaneously. Often the biomass is cheaper than coal, as it either comes from organic growth or waste materials. In optimal situations, your plant might already produce the necessary biomass.
Your new co-firing system will take whatever raw biomass materials you have available and convert them into usable products. Once converted, you can fire the biomass in the same boilers you've used all along. Your old coal-fired boiler is transformed into a sustainable, cutting-edge system.
And "going green" doesn't hurt the public's perception of your company either.
